i hate my teeth for a v stupid reason (lighthearted)

so i had some cosmetic dentistry done. was done perfectly, great job etc, teeth are beautiful

but

the way it was done changed the shape of my teeth and top lip, and these two changes make my mouth and teeth look really like my ex's mouth and teeth. as soon as I loooked in the mirror after it was done all i saw was my ex's mouth!

i will get used to them but damn, that was not what I expedted!

Why is that lighthearted. Why do you need to warn people?

Oh I know how you feel. Two of my adult teeth never grew, so I have two bridges.

They look great, you wouldn't know the teeth are false, but I hate the fact I have to be more careful eating and they will probably need replacing at some point and it's not my fault! if I'd broken them playing sport or something I'd find it easier to deal with (not that I think about them all the time! Just occasionally resent having to have expensive solutions for something I didn't do).

poor you, at least you'll get used to the new shape and feel in time, i wish my dd, 20, would get her teeth fixed, when she was young we spend hours at the dentist and hospitial to get them up to scratch but she never brushed or ate a decent diet from 16 onwards and now they are black and manky, have tried so many times to support and help her but she shrugs it off, it has affected her job search, i'm sure she would have gotten a job months ago if they had been sorted out. a lovely personality and very out going but lousy teeth tbh i'm surprised they haven't started falling out. it's such a shame.

Polka dots I have just had to spend a lot of money fixing / replacing my teeth which I have for exactly the same reason as you - two of my adult teeth just never grew. It makes me really cross too that I had to spend so much and it isn't my fault :(

OP that is a bit weird that your mouth now looks like yur ex's! I am getting used to a new shape in my mouth and new teeth and it is WEIRD. I don't know how to put my the together when relaxed, it doesn't work like it used to :-/
