That fucking poltergeist advert during BGT breaks

They must know that lots of children stay up to watch BGT. Its an advert for a TV programme about poltergeists in a house with two scared kids in bed.

AIBU to think they should advertise it some other time or are my DC being overly sensitive? DD in particular hates in

I totally agree! It frightens me!

LaurieFairyCake · 25/04/2015 20:59

Have they been advertising it before 9?

It's an after 9 programme isn't it?

Complain if they're advertising it before 9 - Theres a link to do it on the website.

If they're not showing the advert before 9 then I think it's ok to show it after

Pantone363 · 25/04/2015 21:00

It was on about 10 minutes ago, def before 9pm

Will look for the link now, thanks

It freaked my DDs out too. I switched over for a second or two and they soon forgot about it after BGT started again, but I was a bit annoyed about it.

Pantone363 · 25/04/2015 21:51

DD still up Hmm

Yy freaked my kids out too, bastards!!

ArgentinianMalbec · 25/04/2015 22:04

It freaks me out!!!! I switched over for a minute until I was sure it was finished. DD was up, but is only 17 months - although I wasn't risking her being scared by it either. Really though, it was me who was too scared to watch it! Grin

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 25/04/2015 22:06

My kids were totally freaked out. Was before 9pm, definitely.

Mind you, the fucking hypnodog freaked me out

RainbowFlutterby · 25/04/2015 22:07

The story it's based on was found to be a fake anyway (the Enfield Poltergeist. Maurice Grosse (?) was the guy I think and was massively discredited).

Froggio · 25/04/2015 22:07

Totally agree. I was really annoyed too.

Dr0pThePirate · 25/04/2015 22:35

Is this the conjuring 2 trailer?

Pantone363 · 25/04/2015 22:51

I'm really bloody annoyed and I never complain about this kind of stuff.

Yellowbird54321 · 25/04/2015 23:02

YANBU - I noticed it too and thought the same, my DS was a bit freaked and he's high school age!

Dr0pThePirate · 25/04/2015 23:05

What film trailer is it?

Pantone363 · 25/04/2015 23:07

It's not for a film, it was a trailer for a programme on Sky Atlantic "Enfield" something or other. I missed the full name as DD had legged it out of the room Angry

Pantone363 · 25/04/2015 23:09

OFCOM link if anyone else feels like complaining

OP posts:
JustBeingJuliet · 25/04/2015 23:09

Yep it's freaked my ds out too; he's still awake now, and didn't want to go up to bed on his own.

Pantone363 · 25/04/2015 23:11

Someone at ITV must have dropped the ball really poor decision on someone's behalf.

Juliet, it's horrible isn't it! DDs asleep now but with lamp and hall light on.

hedgehogsdontbite · 25/04/2015 23:16

This one?

Yarp · 25/04/2015 23:29

That's the sort of thing that leaves children gibbering and unable to sleep for years. I remember similar from when I was a child.

Yarp · 25/04/2015 23:30

....well.. not unable to sleep as such, but unable to get to sleep IYSWIM. I would be annoyed too, but I don't watch BGT

crapfatbanana · 25/04/2015 23:30

I had to spend ten minutes reassuring my DS that it was proved to be faked so he would go to bed.

Yarp · 25/04/2015 23:31

OTOH

I really want to see this. However I am not prepared to sign up to Sky

Dr0pThePirate · 25/04/2015 23:43

If it's the same trailer as the one hedgehogs posted then it doesn't seem that bad.
