If you have registered on the Mail preference service (you can do this for mobile numbers too btw) and you are receiving unsolicited mail, you can complain

The Royal Mail opt out stops working after a certain amount of time I think, we had to do ours again recently.

YANBU at all to complain, but good luck to it actually stopping. I tried but they rely on the postie remembering which houses have opted out and who has any hope of doing that in a round of hundreds of houses.

It's just so wasteful. It's no good going on about recycling when all this junk that nobody wants is forced on us in the first place.

I am so fed up of Virgin Fucking Media sending me their crap every bloody week or so it seems. But because it is addressed to 'The Occupier' at my house there appears to be no way to stop it.

I complained to them years ago and they said they would stop and they haven't. I feel like collecting a years worth of it, wrapping it around a brick and posting it back to them without a stamp on. Grrr.

Yes(!) to the Virgin media ones!
I'm already a customer with them for landline, broadband and TV. Yet I must get about 3 letters a week from them comparing sky prices to theirs and new customer deals. They need to do one. Annoying that signing up won't stop them, but I might sign up anyway.
