A treadmill
We are finally solvent, I have 4 months bills payment in the bank and ,€400 emergency funds and savings ??. I over paid tax last year and after paying off the last of DPs loan I have enough to buy a mid range treadmill. I like running but where we live now there is no where safe to run. DP and DS would also use it the cost of the new is equal to 4 months rental. I need to exercise again and lose a stone and need something that fits with a life of 5 dc and shift work. I am doing 30 day shred but need more
Am I really being selfish not adding it all to the family pot.
in the interest of total honesty Dp wages are all used in maintenance and paying off old debt my wages are our bills food etc. No holiday this year as DC want to do camps.

I would do it. If you've been paying off a loan up to now you can save what you have been paying in loan repayments. If you genuinely think you'll use the treadmill it'll do you the world of good.

Go for it. If I had more space and a windfall I would too!

Not selfish at all. Sounds like you're in a pretty good position atm and may not get there again soon. So go for it while you can

I will use it , tbh it is treadmill or a new wardrobe ?? it will fit in the corner of the kitchen.
I was ?? to get the money tbh and don't want to waste it. I will tell DSis and DMum Mumsnet said yes and they can use it instead of their fancy gym ??
