To not like hot weather?

I realise I don't really like hot weather. It is nice to have hot weather as you are stepping out of your car to go into a building. But I don't understand wanting to actually sit outside in hot weather. I am the person who will be sitting in the shade, or even better indoors, while everyone else is "enjoying" the sun.

I like this weather - 20 deg, cool breeze. I'm a gardener and hate getting sweaty in hot weather!

AuntyMag10 · 21/04/2015 18:18

What is there to be UR about? Surely it's your own opinion if you like certain weather?

lucycant · 21/04/2015 18:19

IlPorcupino - I like being indoors in this weather. It is pretty warm here

I've never liked hot weather. I like blue skies and the sun shining but not too hot. Thank God I live in Scotland.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 21/04/2015 18:20

I love the sunny weather but I agree about enjoying sitting in a shady spot and not baking in blazing sunlight.

I don't tan and redden up very quickly if I'm out in it for too long.

Thank God for fake tan! Wink

Nope not U at all. I don't like hot weather either, can't bear being out in the sun too long. Much rather would be sitting under a tree in dappled shade.
It's paying off now, cos I'm in my 40s and have very few wrinkles!Grin

googoodolly · 21/04/2015 18:51

YANBU if that's how you feel, but it's not really HOT at the moment. It's warm, sure, but it's barely even 20 degrees yet.

I love this kind of weather though, have spent pretty much every day after work in the beer garden with a book and a drink - perfect!

lucycant · 21/04/2015 18:54

I don't even like sitting out in this weather. Going for a walk, yes, But I would rather sit inside. But I always feel vaguely guilty doing this. I can hear my mums voice urging me to get outside in the nice weather.

14 degrees is my limit, then i just get hot and annoyed.

The80sweregreat · 21/04/2015 19:01

Am not keen on it too hot either, called a misery for moaning when its really hot and humid!

lucycant · 21/04/2015 19:48

None of my friends understand why i would rather be inside.

Well, no, you're not unreasonable to not like hot weather. But, 20C (68F) is just about the perfect temperature.

Effendi · 21/04/2015 20:00

I live in Cyprus, today it was 21 degrees, by 5th May it is forecast to be 30. Bring it on.

TOADfan · 21/04/2015 20:06

I agree anything over about 15 is too hot for me. It was about 12 today where I am and it was perfect.

I like jacket weather. Though atm I wish it was cold, I have whooping cough which is getting better but the heat makes me worse Sad

steff13 · 21/04/2015 20:11

Wow, it gets over 90F (32C) here in the summer, and well over 100F if you factor in the humidity. I would love about 72F all summer.

cashewnutty · 21/04/2015 20:15

I like it to be warm but hate the sun shining directly on me. We put up a gazebo in our garden every summer so i can sit out comfortably.

DrCoconut · 21/04/2015 20:44

Today I needed a jacket on to walk home from work. I'm hoping we get some hot weather in the summer as endless drizzle and "mid season" type weather get me down. Give me 25+ for a couple of months at a time!

MrsTedCrilly · 21/04/2015 21:29

I don't like it too hot either, 25c is my maximum preferred temp.. Also love sitting in the shade and the cool evenings when the sun has gone down. I lived in the Middle East for a while where it was sometimes 40c, it was nice to experience but made me appreciate our cooler temps more!
