OK, last week I booked to stay here. All well and good. Bit of googling and I discover the hotel is adult only, and despite us booking a 2 bed apartment there aren't any apartments. Look more closely at our hotel voucher and it's for here

I'd messaged the company and got back a reply that the hotel was adult only, but that apartments weren't, and that they are a different property.

I called them to change our accommodation as I don't want to stay at the apartments we're booked into. They say I can change hotel, but have to pay a fee to do so. I said that I was not prepared to pay a fee, given that they are not upholding their side of the contract, that we are not booked into the accommodation we thought we were booking. The response was that "but that's just what they call the apartments.."

They've escalated it to their "operations department", but aibu to be really frustrated and angry?? I can't cancel the whole booking without losing money. Arggggghhh

Well I can understand the being frustrated at the having not booked what you thought you had, but I'm confused how you booked apartments thinking it was a hotel?

Because on the website the hotel came up, with room option as 2 bed apartment. Lots of hotels also do apartments on site? This isn't apartments on site, it's completely different accommodation.

Oh, and the booking confirmation comes with name of hotel, hotel description etc, it's just the voucher that has a different name on it.
