To not let my DD8 read Lily Alone?

She picked it out at the library today. I've just finished reading it (she hasn't opened it yet). I know some JW books aren't exactly fluffy but the word smackhead was used just a few pages in!

YANBU. When she is ten or so...now my DD is ten I find it hard to justify stopping her reading things. She's old enough to choose. When they're a bit advanced it's tough...but at 8 it's your choice.

YANBU. My DS is 8 and I wouldn't want him to read Lily Alone (although he's not into JW anyway, maybe it's more of a girl thing).
