Hi, about 4 years ago DH broke a joint in his back at work, it was his works fault and after 2 years, he won his cas and got competition. He used a solicitor that his union paid for. That was 2 years ago, and yet we've never had any of the paperwork (wage slips ect) back off them.

WIBU to phone them and ask for them back, or, will they have been thrown away by now?

AFAIK they should retained in the case file for at 7 years. Give them a ring.

Why did you not ask for the paperwork back two years ago?

Your husband probably received a letter at the end of his case explaining what would happen to the paperwork and how he could get any documents he wanted. Have a look at what that says.

Honestly, I've only just thought about it.

I do have all the letters they sent, ill go through them and see if i can find anything.

Thank you!
