To let my baby sleep?

My 7mo old was up ALL night. No idea why, she is a hideous sleeper but that was exceptional. She finally went to sleep at 4.30 and is still asleep now. I am nervous to let her sleep and throw the whole day off and maybe bugger up the night time routine etc as well.

But she must be bloody exhausted and the other part of me says leave her.

What do you thibk?

Let her sleep and go back to bed yourself!

leave her sleep. she will be like a bear if you wake her. routines are one thing but you need to start coping with days where you dont get to do everything you normally would with her routine. let her sleep.

Other children unfortunateu so no sleep for me! Have also gone a bit mad with lack of sleep and actually haven't been able to get back to sleep at all.

Any tips for how to readjust the day? She usually has two naps so
Maybe I should do normal
Bed time and just try for one nap?

Or push bedtime later?

Side note am not a routine fiend. Im just accustomed to her waking between 5 and 6 and bed at 6.30 and had sort of a groove going with that.

Oh sorry, didn't realise you have other children. In that case I'd still let her sleep and play it by ear re other naps, depending on when she wakes. Hope you can catch up on some sleep soon.

Leave her. My dd was a hideous sleeper too. But, I always found that if I managed to get her to take a good nap in the day then she actually slept better at night. Don't ask me why or how. My mother always said 'sleep breeds sleep' and I think she's right.

Totally true that sleep breeds sleep. That's why a bit nervous about routine. If the day goes well she usually sleeps ok at night.

My 9 month is teething so has had a few bad nights recently, I let her sleep in the morning, my Nan always said "never wake sleeping bears or babies!"
You might find she's a little out of normal routine today but it soon gets back to normal. Hope you get a better sleep tonight

Leave her sleep. She's still only a baby - don't wake her.
