It is now possible to convert child trust funds to junior isas.

I've heard a lot of people saying how the is as are better, but have no idea why. There is very little information available as well.

If so, any idea which isa to choose?

I'm going to do this. The CTF has crap all interest now. I think Halifax are doing one with 3% up you have to go in branch to makdeposits which will annoy me as we don't have one nearby.

If you look on Martin Lewis's website, he has some great advice on them. I am going to have a proper look in the week and sort it out.

Following. just heard same thing.

In your face nationwide

I shall have to have a look, actually. I've not paid into either of the boys' CTFs for a couple of years, but I want to stick something in them, this year, and should have a look around, really. It's a definite kids back to school project.

SoonToBeSix · 10/04/2015 23:15

Actually Giles the nationwide childrens ISA is one of the best.

Gileswithachainsaw · 10/04/2015 23:19

Is it? I'll have to look cos the trust fund is with them

hambo · 10/04/2015 23:20

Does this ISA mean we (parents) have control over the money as well, or joint control, (unlike the CTF)??

RJnomore · 10/04/2015 23:21

Yeah I've got a nationwide ctf for dd2 and I think it's just gone to almost 4%

Runwayqueen · 10/04/2015 23:29

My xil actually asked me the other day if I would consider changing dd's to a jr isa the other day. I will do as soon as I can find the paperwork Confused

CrapBag · 10/04/2015 23:54

Nationwide is the best cash junior isa according to Martin Lewis. 3.25%.

Halifax is 4% if an adult has an isa with them.

SoonToBeSix · 11/04/2015 01:23

My ctf is with nationwide too Giles I am going to change it to their ISA
