Posting here due to traffic, hope that's ok.
So I have 20 years experience in my field HR but no degree and I need one.
Doesn't even gave to be relevant it could be in knitting for all they care although I would like it to be a proper degree.
Is there another path aside of the OU, diplomas that count towards degrees that kind of thing ?
TIA

Why not the ou?

I don't know all that much about APEL, but I know that my friend was able to go straight onto an HR Masters at (I think London Met) without having an undergraduate degree due to APELing her existing HR experience.

She didn't find the course that hard and she's not that bright. I think an MBA is quite different from a Masters in something else so wouldn't necessarily use that as your benchmark. Bear in mind if you do a Masters in HR you will already know a lot of it.

That's a good point, I have a level 5 CIPD qualification. Thank you I'll look into that if not the OU is fine just a bit longer and more expensive

Level 5 is equivalent to foundation degree. See if you can transfer your credits. I would approach OU. I haven't used them but would willingly as they are a good organisation. You in effect have a degree level professional qualification.

Danny is right go straight for masters. You don't actually need a degree to go for a masters. Your qualifications and experience are more than good enough. Unless you do want to do knitting. Might have to start from scratch there :)
