"Repost if you are against child abuse"

WyldChyld · 06/04/2015 09:21

You know what, I'm not reporting and nope, I think today I'm gonna be pro-child abuse! Fabulous.

I mean, ffs, what is wrong with stupid people?? Anyone else get incredible amounts of rage from stuff like this?

And yes, I could leave Facebook / block. Except 90% of my friends aren't like this and the 10% who are I can't realistically delete for political reasons...

Also Jane "Proud Mummy" Doe. Particularly if she works "full time at being a mummy ". I forgot that you cease to be a parent whilst at work...

Reposting even. See how much rage I have!

lack of sleep is unattractive

Unfollow them, it will stop their posts appearing on your feed and make life so much better Wink

TheFirstOfHerName · 06/04/2015 09:25

You can unfollow people without unfriending them. So you are still facebook friends but the stuff they post won't appear on your newsfeed (if you do want to see what they have posted, you would have to go to their timeline). It's a win-win situation.

TheFirstOfHerName · 06/04/2015 09:26

Cross-posted! Smile

AngelDreams · 06/04/2015 09:28

i 'hide all from ' wherever the hell s/he got it from

its so annoying - today i was told that Ex UK Prime Ministers get nearly £300k pension and that a surgeon is waiting for me to 'like' a picture before he operates

Jollyphonics · 06/04/2015 09:30

I was wondering, if you unfollow someone, can they still see and comment on your posts? I have friends who I like, and I'm happy for them to be involved in dialogue with me, but I'm sick of the relentless shared pictures etc. the main reason is that our Internet speed here is dire, and pictures clog up my newsfeed and slow it down massively.

WyldChyld · 06/04/2015 09:30

How did I not know this?! That sorts so many ragey posts!

Seriously though, what on earth makes people post crap like that? There's another one about if you don't share this prayer ten children will get cancer. What the hell is wrong with people that they would be sick enough to come up with that sort of thing?

OP posts:
Islanegra · 06/04/2015 09:33

These are the people that Britain First rely on to publicise their shit.

"Repost if you are against kitten punching." Oh do fuck off.

YANBU. These stupid, over-sentimental, pointless, emotive memes give me the fucking rage.

"Share if you want a cure for cancer' is another one. Hmm

Fucking numbskulls.

EdithSitwell · 06/04/2015 10:06

"I think I know which of my friends will repost this and which won't...."
Can't stand it!

RachieS1986 · 06/04/2015 10:19

"if this picture gets 1 million likes so-and-so will pay for this child's life saving operation".

Mrsjayy · 06/04/2015 10:23

I do the unfollow from thing same with if you have a beautiful son/daughter/dog

acatcalledjohn · 06/04/2015 10:39

I had one the other day which was a 'this young girl has gone missing from [generic area] an hout ago. Please share this post to help find her'

A three second Google search told me it was a hoax, and that the photo was of a girl whom about 5 years ago was in the middle of a domestic dispute.

You'd have to be quite the sick fuck to make up something like that.

Thing is: Why do people not think about this before blindly hitting 'share'? Google is only ever a browser window away!

SistersOfPercy · 06/04/2015 10:42

Has Facebook cured cancer yet? It must be at a million likes by now. Is it time to tell all those researchers they are out of a job because clicking like on Facebook has solved the problem of centuries?

KeepsTrying · 06/04/2015 10:51

I've un-followed about 1/3rd of my facebook friends now. Yes, they can still follow you, see and comment on your posts - they won't know.

I've also got 3 on a restricted list (family I don't trust) - they can't see anything of mine that isn't public (so they can't see anything) and only my mutual friends.

namechangedincase23 · 06/04/2015 10:53

YANBU

As if anyone is pro-cancer, or pro-child abuse or wants to see a puppy clubbed death with a shoe or whatever the hell it is this week. And is if re-posting makes a blind bit of difference

I get rage too Angry

Hissy · 06/04/2015 10:55

Sod political reasons! I'd delete anyone who put that shit up, and id tell them why too.

When are ignorant people going to learn if they don't get told they're being ignorant?

Do you mean they are Inlaws? So what! Parents? Ditto? Siblings? Why tolerate it? Seriously!

Just delete them and be done with it.

stillwearingaredribbon · 06/04/2015 11:00

I get the rage too. I never re post anything, starving puppy, dying child, love children
None of it
I hate the this man kidnaps dogs to use ad bait ones too. How do we know who it is. It could easily be posted by someone with a vendetta against a random bloke
Bloody Facebook sheep

MrsHathaway · 06/04/2015 11:01

Oh, I have so many people hidden. It's very good for the blood pressure.

Wyrd I completely understand about tact/political deletions mother in your case, inlaws in mine and hiding people is just what this is for.

The demon on my shoulder is always urging me to comment "I FUCKING LOVE CANCER/CHILD ABUSE/ANIMAL CRUELTY" on these brain-numbing posts.

stillwearingaredribbon · 06/04/2015 11:01

Oh and another rage
If we get 100,000 likes our dad will buy us a puppy
I've never had such a good reason not to like something. Worst reason ever to buy a puppy

Cantbelievethisishappening · 06/04/2015 11:02
