That forearms can be incredibly sexy on a man? Debating this with some friends who think I'm bonkers so Aibu or are they? Please tell me someone knows where I'm coming from...

Shirt sleeves have to be rolled up to just below the elbows, not above.

Arm hair may be okay but hair on the back of fingers/hands never is.

Obviously no to hairy palms.

Never contemplate a man who wears a short-sleeved shirt or has a shirt with a breast pocket. Particularly if it has a Biro in it and/or an embroidered logo.

I'm so there with you LimitedTimePeriodOnly! When I met DH he was wearing a short-sleeved shirt. I was very confused as he wasn't a bus driver or similarly employed person where cruelly ugly uniforms seem to be a stick to beat people with.

He gave me a funny look and got rid of them all. So I try to be open minded and think that some people just need educating as to how hideous they are.

Squoosh I entirely agree. Slopey shoulders are a no go (although this is quite an unfortunate preference as DH's shoulders have been passed on to his children - giving birth to DS's shoulders was a memorable experience. Sorry for TMI).

Also men must have at least a reasonable amount of body hair, including on forearms and on chest. Cannot be doing with a hairless man.

Yep, good forearms and nice hands with squared off fingers (can't bear tapered fingers on a bloke), and short, clean nails. Also these hands must be dry. A friend's DH has white, clammy hands with long, tapered fingers and longish, often dirty, nails and they make me feel ill.

Yanbu - Forearms are very, very important to me . I've noticed that farmers, builders and professional bike riders have excellent forearms. Broad shoulders are an added bonus.

Small hands are a turn off though.

DH isn't very dark haired. He is brown to a hint of reddishness. He hates body hair and waxes and trims like a demon. I appreciate it. When you get older, hair just sprouts everywhere.

My father was pale-skinned but very dark-haired and hirsute - think of George Best. He used to shave every day and sometimes twice a day, otherwise he felt he looked dirty.

It's interesting whenever I read things on MN about the pressure on women to remove body hair. It's mainly on women but not exclusively.
