To expect a better recovery after 7 weeks...

Been on ADs for anxiety and depression for 7.5 weeks (sertraline 50mg) and still having a bit of a rough time - felt an improvement in weeks 4-5 but anxiety ramping back up in weeks 6-7. Made an appt with gp but I was told at the start that it can take 12 weeks to settle...

Positive reassurance please, I'm really struggling...

My dsis took at least 12 weeks. Then it got much much better.

Hang in there op. Hope things improve for you and good idea to seek GP reassurance anyway.

Thanks pyjamas that's very reassuring to know. I'm struggling to hang in there but I have to - did your dsis have up and down wobbles during the 12 weeks or was it more of a steady improvement? X

I sometimes get people to up the dose to 100mg. Seems to help.

50mg is a low dose of sertraline. The dose is 50-200mg, most people take 100 or 150.
