For cutting toast into the wrong shape

I cut DD (aged 3)'s toast into triangles instead of squares by accident. She's refusing to eat it because it's "not the same". I know I'm probably BU but I was on autopilot and thought she'd find the change a welcome novelty.

Make sure you never give DD toast soldiers they are for DS she would have the roof off the house with her tantrum.

My nephew (2) isn't my friend because I let him play with the banana skin that I took off his banana for him to eat... O.o

PMSL at mini Mariah. DD(2.5) is the same.

Yy to all of the above & also a little warning to you all about cereal .... Never ever let the milk touch the top of the cereal !!!
It has to be gently poured around an area at the side of the bowl or else it's just ruined & fit for the bin Grin

My neice was very particular about how her food was served as a toddler, and if you got it wrong she would go very quiet then her head would drop forward onto her chest and she'd mutter in a sorrowful voice 'it's wuined, just wuined' Grin

Bread should be 'square' cut at home. Triangular bread items are for eating when out.

MinesAPintOfTea · 29/03/2015 19:57

Bread must always be in halves and quarters. Anything else is wrong.

I only realised the other day that I give DS1(4) two rectangles and DS2(2) triangles when I put the wrong toast on the wrong plate and both children went "Muuuuuuuuuummmm!!" and swapped them all about to their mutual satisfaction. They had the same bloody topping on anyway.

DH took DS1 out to the garden centre and he got jam on toast at the cafe, except the nice lady had cut it in the shape of a train Hmm which made his day didn't it? So now I get asked to replicate it (NO) or can we go to the garden train cafe mum?

Unfortunately their mother comes from the school of like it or lump it so no toast trains have materialised here.
