99pokerface · 27/03/2015 19:26

My friend baby sat for me on wendsday and thak God she did I really needed her help and she is a saint however I usually go go tea and a gossip on Thursday so I went back round with baby poker face whos 2 and a bit and my friend was like eww you have the same cloths on from yesterday

Which put me out a bit really we mostly change every other day unless the clothing is dirty, smells or the occasion calls for a diffrent type of out fit personally I can't see what wrong with that and I actully felt a little judged and a bit scummy

How rude. I'd give her a Hmm face and say 'it's fine really, my pants are clean on this morning and I haven't rolled in any puddles since yesterday.'

sliceofsoup · 27/03/2015 19:29

YANBU. There was no need for her to comment on that.

99pokerface · 27/03/2015 19:30

Yes just to be clear clean knickeds even day btw Blush

LittleBairn · 27/03/2015 19:33

How rude she felt the need to comment.

JemimaPuddlePop · 27/03/2015 19:35

She was really rude.

Personally, I have to have a clean top, knickers and socks every day.

Jeans...meh. I think the ones I have on now are on their third wear without washing.

Bra's...even more meh. I can happily wear a bra for a week or three without washing. Most people find that rank. But I shower every day and I don't sweat (seriously don't sweat unless heavily exercising) so I don't see the point in washing more often.

ChipDip · 27/03/2015 19:37

I do think it's a bit yuck to be wearing the same clothes the next day but would never say that to anyone.

momtothree · 27/03/2015 19:38

Saves the planet a bit. More people should - Smile

99pokerface · 27/03/2015 19:40

I must also add were are a family who change into pjs as soon as we enter our home unless we have visitors not that that matters I suppose every one is diffrent she has cats so do I she lets her cat eat on her kitchen work top I think that's a bit (confused) but it's her house she's nit a dirt bird so I am sure she cleans it but I would never dream of making her feel bad about it

OP posts:
Phoenixashes · 27/03/2015 19:41

I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

BoobooChild · 27/03/2015 19:42

Tbh I think it's a bit weird that she noticed! Although I'm not known for my observation skills.

CaptainAnkles · 27/03/2015 19:46

I'd be more judgy about cats walking around on kitchen worktops than I would about someone wearing the same outfit two days in a row.

CalleighDoodle · 27/03/2015 19:52

I wear the same clothes friday and Saturdays. Im not sweating, I dont smoke, nobody I know mor come into contact with smokes, i dont have a dog. My clothes dont smell. She was a total judgy pants.

ForeverLostt · 27/03/2015 19:56

You should have replied -

Yes I sometimes wear the same clothes the next day........ And still look better than you

DrCoconut · 27/03/2015 20:55

She'd love my DH. He insists it is unnecessary to change trousers more than once a week as long as pants are clean daily! I would wear jeans and bras more than once but not for a whole week. The rest needs changing daily, at least for me.

Nelly2015 · 27/03/2015 20:59

I wear the same jeans 2 or 3 times if not dirty and bra twice. I change everything else daily.

Janethegirl · 27/03/2015 21:00

I'd wear jeans for a week unless I'd got them visibly dirty or sticky. Clean knickers every day though.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 27/03/2015 21:02

Unless it was a particularly garish outfit I wouldn't notice if someone was wearing the same clothes 2 days in a row! And if I did I wouldn't be rude enough to comment on it. I usually change daily but only because toddler DD usually wipes something like yoghurt all over me. Jeans only get washed when they're visibly dirty or start to smell Smile

NeedABumChange · 27/03/2015 21:03

YANBU.
I do this as I also change into PJs as soon as I'm home so clothes don't really get that dirty if I'm only out a few hours.

Your friend is rude to mention it and yuck about her cats. Two cats here and neither go on tables. Really disgusting when you see people letting their cats sit on worktops.

prawnballs · 27/03/2015 21:03

What a bitch she sounds!
You should have asked her to smell them haha Grin

Gwenci · 27/03/2015 21:06

Jeeze, it's lucky I'm not friends with your friend OP, she'd think I was proper gross!

New knickers everyday of course, but jeans I'll wear for quite a few days and a top can go 2/3 days unless I spill food down it!! She'd definitely have her judgey pants out big time with me!

Moltenpink · 27/03/2015 21:07

I'm in the same clothes as yesterday Grin

Clothes wear out really fast if you wash them too often!

sailoratsea · 27/03/2015 21:11

I wear clothes again all the time. I shower daily, obviously change underwear and will wear the same pair of jeans a good few times. Washing clothes that don't need washed is a waste of the world's resources. People think they can do what they like no matter what the consequences.

Also, even if you wore the same outfit when it did need a wash she should have kept her rude mouth shut.

ChillySundays · 27/03/2015 21:17

Personally I can't wear the same clothes two days in a row but I wouldn't dream of judging anyone else for it and I certainly wouldn't say anything.

I might be a bit 'wtf' if you had half your breakfast down you though

Molichite · 27/03/2015 21:19

Yes very judgey!

I need a clean t shirt everyday or I smell, but that is hardly something to be proud of. Maybe you are just a less smelly person than she is!

reni1 · 27/03/2015 21:56

Very rude friend. Commenting on appearance is off limits unless it's a compliment. Parents of under tens are even allowed to wear the remnants of the last meal, it's the law.

I am to new to MN, I still gag at "judgey pants"
