was the lead story on PM tonight when we now know 3 Brits were killed in the plane disaster? is one man and his job really more important?

Another JC AIBU?

Celticlass2 · 25/03/2015 18:22

Yanbu. He's insignificant knob. Not in the least bit newsworthy. I want to hear real news when I switch on!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 25/03/2015 18:24

This is more an Aibu about the skewe thinking if the bbc news team

I agree - they spent the first 15 mins on it. Total overreaction to what is essentially a showbiz story.

cariadlet · 25/03/2015 18:24

I was infuriated by James May saying it was "a tragedy". No. The plane crash was a tragedy. This was somebody not having their contract renewed, because of abusive behaviour at work.

derxa · 25/03/2015 18:36

He's a massive cunt, end of.

KateReddy · 25/03/2015 18:44

So are plane crashes only newsworthy when there are Brits affected? Hmm

sliceofsoup · 25/03/2015 18:49

BBC news has incredibly flawed priorities regarding headlines, and more infuriatingly, breaking news.

The breaking news banner on the website is usually about some not very important news, while totally ignoring major news stories.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/03/2015 18:51

It wasn't lead news on the website or on the 6pm Radio 4 news. At least they had their priorities right.

molyholy · 25/03/2015 18:53

Yes. I was frankly Shock that James May referred to it as a 'tragedy'.

caroldecker · 25/03/2015 19:07

But the plane crash was not new news, so why should it lead? Should it lead every day until there is a bigger death toll from another accident?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 25/03/2015 19:22

I don't see why Jeremy clarkson was top on pm regardless of what else is going on in the world. I think day 2 news of a plane crash is more newsworthy. There were plenty of other stories relegated below clarkson which were more newsworthy.

The fact it is bbc makes me think they are so self absorbed they don't realise that not everyone cares about what goes on wrt one program

Sparklingbrook · 25/03/2015 19:33

Every thread about JC is the same. People wanting to say what they think of him, doesn't matter what the original question was.

They should merge all the threads together.

londonrach · 25/03/2015 19:34

Did you see mn on tv re the election!

McButtonwillow · 25/03/2015 19:34

YANBU I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing about him, utter bollocks.

swazza · 25/03/2015 19:50

I am sick to the back teeth of hearing about Jeremy Fucking Clarkson. Can't stand the prick.

Am so pissed off with all this OTT drama. He has acted like the arrogant prick we all knew he was and lost his job! Am so pissed off with the coverage this dick head is getting!

I fucking hope Top gear is axed completely and they bring a totally new NON CLARKSON motoring program to our screens instead.

I am so fucking angry about this. All the other important shit in the world and I have to keep looking at his ugly gurning leather face and listen to poor old top gear fans - simpering about because Top Gear wont be the same without him! Angry

I listened to the 7pm news on Radio 2, and the Clarkson story was the first item and was pretty much all they talked about.

Not good enough BBC - yes, it's a 'BBC' story, but perhaps other news should have come first today.

Sparklingbrook · 25/03/2015 20:14

Not even the big One Direction news taxi? Shock

LetticeKnollys · 25/03/2015 20:35

when we now know 3 Brits were killed in the plane disaster

YABVVU about this, I can't stand this attitude. So many atrocities around the world wouldn't be allowed to happen if it weren't for people thinking that they are specially worthy of the right to life just because they are British/American/whatever.

Justanotherlurker · 25/03/2015 21:09

It's been played out in the papers for days and not just the rag tops, welcome to the world of populist news agendas it isn't something new and will only become worse as everyone with a keyboard actively plays there own form of slackativism.

Ignoring the world wide atrocities, there was statistically more than 3 people who died in the UK today which also didn't recieve coveredge, you may not like clarkson/top gear but Unfortunetly for you, your in a minority.

Caveat: not a clarkson fan, but can see why it's a top news story on the BBC
