Apparently you can scroll with your tongue. Who knew?!

Can you type with your tongue?

I'd rather not.

Can only imagine the bacteria lurking on my screen.

Welshmaenad · 25/03/2015 12:23

I did once when I got salted caramel sauce on it.

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 25/03/2015 12:23

Don't worry, it'll be cancelled out by all the bacteria on your tongue

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 25/03/2015 12:24

Welsh, did you manage to get it all off?

Yuk! Why ask and yuk?

AuntieDee · 25/03/2015 12:25

I did when I got ice cream on it. I did it very carefully as it had a cracked screen! I'm not one to waste ice cream...

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 25/03/2015 12:25

Sorry it was on another thread which got a bit hijacked from its serious origins.

I thought I'd create a little haven of touchscreen lickers that wouldn't offend anyone.

Welshmaenad · 25/03/2015 12:25

I did indeed.

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 25/03/2015 12:32

I wonder if it's just Apple products or if Android users can get in on the licking action too.

Android here. I was the first to confess about licking.

First time I licked and it did not work. cannot remember the website I was on though.

however I am pleasantly surprised that the screen did scroll for me while I licked while using mn.

maybe its just certain apps.

mumsnet has no shame and therefore allows licking. Grin

LaconicIcon · 25/03/2015 13:12

Yep, my hudl is android and I can scroll with my tongue Smile
Can also type but the screen comes too close to be able to see the letters.

OOAOML · 25/03/2015 13:13

But why? Why would you do that? Thinking about it, I suppose if you were unable to use your hands, but outside that possibility - why?????

I am so not telling my son about this.

BumblingBoris · 25/03/2015 13:14

I dunno about licking the bloody screen, but I shall be smashing it with a hammer if MNHQ don't sort out this flippin problem,
Every time I change a page MN closes down, sooooo frustrating!!
Apparently it's a thing and they are sorting it

SycamoreMum · 25/03/2015 13:14

Yes my 11 month old DD has demonstrated this to me Hmm almost ruined my game of the Sims.

GoadyFuckAaargh · 25/03/2015 13:15

ach, it's like nose - picking. ..everyone does it Grin

Only1scoop · 25/03/2015 13:15

Have you come here to lick in peace Grin

LaconicIcon · 25/03/2015 13:20

YANBU. I leaned something useful in case of any diminished arm use situations AND I now have a lovely clean screen and possibly botulism

GoadyFuckAaargh · 25/03/2015 13:22

sometimes I breathe on my phone screen then smell it to check my breath.

I wish there was an app for breath checking.

HighwayDragon · 25/03/2015 13:22
