We live abroad and in an internal apartment. Lovely building, only 8 apartments and everybody gets on well.
A guy moved in a few months ago to the ground floor by the front door, he's a smoker, a really really heavy smoker. No problem with that except instead of opening his front window he opens his back one and his smoke is going in all the apartments which have internal windows.
Everyone in the apartments in the 3 floors above him used to have their kitchen doors and bedroom windows open almost all the time and now none of us can do this because within minutes our apartments are filled with his smoke. It's thick and really stinks.
A lot of us have kids and their bedrooms have internal windows so now cannot be used. People also have washing rails outside their kitchen doors which hang over the internal part which they can no longer use because everything ends up stinking of his smoke.
The people in the apartments (mixture of owners and tenants) including us have asked him nicely to please shut his back window and explained the problem. He shrugs his shoulders and says he doesn't care he's a smoker so tough.
The building managers have also been involved but he's an owner so not much can be done.
Soo I was thinking of getting some kind of stink bomb and chucking it down there. All the other neighbours have their places shut up now so it wouldn't go in their places, but if it stuck enough maybe he would shut his windows and use the front ones instead, and after a few weeks of this maybe just maybe we could all start having our windows and kitchens open again and enjoy it.
Do any of you know of something like that which may work? We're all desperate for help here.
