I think it's very funny and clever, but I love Tina Fey and pretty much think everything she writes is fab. However I am a little bit uncomfortable with the premise. The whole situation, even down to the theme tune and the fact that one of the mole women is described along the lines of "there was also a Hispanic woman", is based on the women that were held captive for years by Ariel Castro. They were raped and tortured and went through hell. I just find it hard to reconcile the inspiration with the comedy. Although saying that (and I realise I'm having a wee debate with myself here!), the show centres on recovery and resilience and with Kimmy's infinite optimism it demonstrates the way remarkable people can survive apparently insurmountable odds.
I think I'm perhaps over thinking this slightly
