DP went to the shop and I requested chocolate. Came back with Maltesers.

Maltesers.

Maltesers ffs.

I like Maltesers sometimes but they don't have enough chocolate on to be classed as 'chocolate' for a chocolate run. I expected Twirl, Dairy Milk, Galaxy, you know, chocolate.

You bring the offending item over here and I'll discard of it for you, and give you money to buy some proper chocolate. Can't say fairer than that!

TheoriginalLEM · 01/03/2015 21:43

you think you have it tough? i asked my "d"p to get me "something nice" from the shop Guess what he bought?

fucking jamaica ginger cake Hmm

Sagethyme · 01/03/2015 21:45

Maltesers? Ffs you must must LTB or put them between your toes and get him to eat them! Wink

MurielWoods · 01/03/2015 21:47

Next time he sends you to shop to buy beer, bring back Dandelion and fucking Burdock.

KeepitDown · 01/03/2015 21:47

Ugh, YABU for listing Galaxy, tastes like slightly anaemic chocolate-flavoured vomit.

However, it is not quite as bad as Turkish Delight, which is what I have sat in the cupboard from DHs last unsuccessful run.
Swap you for the maltesers?

Didactylos · 01/03/2015 21:49

but did you eat them anyway?
I would have Blush

BiscuitsofYum · 01/03/2015 21:49

That is rude! He might as well handed you a chocolate digestive!
Maltesers are general treat, when you need chocolate he's got to bring back the good stuff!

Bleugh. I'd divorce DH of he came home with anything less than 85% dark chocolate.

Scathing... are you MrShockers?

If so, I'm sorry... I thought you liked them cause I saw you eating them yesterday.

Oh, and get your own in future!

Shockers · 01/03/2015 21:54

I loves a big squishy slice of Jamaica Ginger Cake, I does.

KeepitDown · 01/03/2015 21:56

Ooh, I love mint aero. Would definitely swap you maltesers for that Coconutty. Grin

BastardGoDarkly · 01/03/2015 21:56

Had to come and tell you, my dp has just pulled a star bar and picnic out :) :)

Knew there was a reason I like him.

ThePinkOcelot · 01/03/2015 22:23

I love Maltesers! Dd went on chocolate run today and came back with Maltesers and I was over the moon!

missusdaly · 01/03/2015 22:27

Back out he goes! Nothing wrong with Malteasers of course, but if you specifically ask for chocolate then it's not okay to assume Malteasers will do.

Now, if he'd come back with a Dairy Milk/Galaxy/Twirl AND a bag of Malteasers, that'd be ok.

Guiltypleasures001 · 01/03/2015 22:32

Don't get me started I asked my dh a while back to go and get me something cakey, sponge jam chocolate oh and custard as well you get my point.

Fucker comes back with a bag of jeffing tea cakes Hmm

ScathingContempt · 01/03/2015 22:36

They are almost the 'fruit salad' option of chocolate

I know! They were my diet treat two years ago. I do like them, but not when I ask for chocolate.

Does it make things better or worse that she's female too? I thought I could trust another woman with such an errand.

I know I should be more specific but I am normally too controlling about these things, I decided to take a laissez-faire approach to it but I have sorely learnt my llesson now.

Just seen the ginger cake post! when I was pregnant I sent someone on an emergency cake run and the came back with that. It's still I the cupboard now, months later.

And they wonder why I insist on going into the shop myself most of the time.

I will remember the dandelion and burdock thing next time I am sent on the booze run.

And no, I haven't eaten them, I found half a packet of chocolate santas in the crap cupboard.

MrsTawdry · 01/03/2015 23:41

Twirls are not CHOCOLATE OP! Yabu for considering them so. They don't even taste like chocolate.

HopSkipCrash · 01/03/2015 23:44

How long have you been married OP? Are there any other signs that me may have met someone.else?

HopSkipCrash · 01/03/2015 23:45

*he

AnnieHoo · 01/03/2015 23:56

Crying at Jamaica Ginger cake LemGrin that is shocking!!!

weeblueberry · 02/03/2015 00:01

Jamaica Ginger cake Grin

For me it would depend on the size of the serving. Those dinky wee bags (regular I suspect they name them...) are rubbish. You've barely started and they're done. Never mind if someone else dips their hand in. Envy

The only acceptable portion size of malteasers is the box or super sharing bag. Even the latter needs to be drunk with a massive cup of tea to be worthwhile...

MkDaddy · 02/03/2015 00:10

Turkish delight, Revels, Bounty......can all go piss off. If someone brings me those back I'd fart in their tea and force feed them stale bread or really burnt toast for the next 20 years.

Munchies, bags of twirl bites, galaxy ripples, galaxy caramels milky bars or Lindt arrive and it's happy days. Malteasers are wicked also but you specify if you want them.

Reeces cups definitely get you laid.
