A good friends FIL died two weeks ago.

My sister's BIL was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease a couple of weeks ago.
Her MIL has cancer and was taken into a hospice at the weekend and isn't expected to live much longer.
BILL is about to start dialysis for kidney problems. Went to hospital yesterday as had a problem with his leg - infection - been admitted for five days. He managed to get to hospice yesterday to say goodbye to his mother.
Just had a knock at the door - a friend of our neighbour asking us to look after neighbour's dog as neighbour is at hospital as her DH is dying - also Cancer - and her father is in a hospice - also cancer and with a couple of days left too. She could lose her husband and father on same day. And keep having to explain why to her mother who has dementia and in a nursing home.

It all just seems to have come together. Sad

It's one thing after another.

honestly, the shit that has gone in among my family and friends in the last two years would have people shouting troll if i listed it all.

2013/2014 can fuck right off, and so far 2015 isn't doing much better...

Thanks. It's horrible. I feel so tearful for my neighbour. Her best friend died end of last year too. We haven't been neighbour's for long - they moved in about 18 months ago and he was just getting over throat cancer. But it came back. Sad. They don't have children.

Obsidian - sorry you have had shit too. Sad

Obsidian - we are the same - 2014 was a fecker of a year - soap opera type stories. Horrible to go through and then just be hit by another illness/disaster as you're beginning to breath again. Hope things improve.
