To wonder about the term 'cuntish'

I've been dotting around reading MN threads and have noticed the frequent use of the phrase "cuntish", usually wrt someone's DH or male DP's bad behaviour. I'm not prudish about swearing, but AIBU to wonder why a word usually associated with FEMALE genitalia has become a term used to identify seriously bad/horrible behaviour, often in men? If it's a bloke behaving badly, why don't we say 'prickish' (or something similar)?

Prickish is used. As is being a dick, a dickhead and a knob.

love the word and it's power frankly. I am however extremely rude.
