to feel sad for Marilyn Monroe

I have recently started reading a biography on my Kindle that someone recommended about Marilyn Monroe. To be honest I never really knew much about her but a friend suggested it as a good read.
Im only about a quarter of the way through and it just seems so sad. She has told so many contradictory stories of her past and her childhood, so many different versions of it all that it makes you wonder how bad it must've been for her that she felt the need to constantly fabricate new ones.
She never seemed to be happy, she just seemed to be exploited a lot.

Her life was very tragic and difficult.

Do you mind me asking what the book is?

Indeed - it's one of the reasons why all the sassy memes and quotes about her which do the rounds on Facebook are so completely misplaced. I don't want to ruin the end of the book for you, but as far as I know, it only gets worse for her (not being facetious about her death BTW, just that most of the people she surrounded herself with seemed to be complete arseholes).

I know steff, its really odd, because when I started reading I just though it would be an easy read to pass the time, but its actually very sad.
Manic this is it
