To have a local anaesthetic during pregnancy?

I have some surgery booked today to remove a cyst from my eyelid that's obscuring my vision, has anyone else had a local for something like this? Or for anything? If I cancel my appointment and back out now they won't book me in again and I'm scared it will get worse but I'm 23 weeks pregnant.

AIBU to have it removed?

I assume they know you're pregnant? What did they suggest?

The midwife said it's fine but I haven't spoken to the surgeon yet, I will go in and see but I wasn't wondering if anyone else has been told not to have one or if they have had one and been fine.

I had a local at 22 weeks pregnant to remove a suspicious mole from my leg.
It was fine, what wasn't was the stitches coming undone a few days later and having to have them redone Shock (with a second lot of local)

I had a local anesthetic during pregnancy in the dentists. It was fine, you just need to let the anesthetist know so you get a pregnancy safe one.

I had a local anaesthetic for a filling at 9 wks pregnant. My dentist assured me it was fine to have one. If you're concerned I would ring the hospital/clinic and double check with them that it's ok to have one.

It's fine. It's one of the ingredients in an epidural!

I had an emergency root canal when I was pregnant, I had a local for that, and it was fine. The dentist confirmed with my OB/GYN that it was ok before he went ahead with it.
