FB related.

So a friend went to see 50 Shades the other day. There was a a big status announcement about going in so many hours, then there were photos posted of them actually in the cinema before the film started and then there was a massive status about the film afterwards.

I don't get how going to the cinema can be seen as such a big event.

Confused

I've seen this happen with other non events too.

People are just finding joy in otherwise dull lives. Leave them alone. They deserve to be happy. It is a great thing to find joy in 'non-events.'

I don't do this, but going to a movie is a bit of an event for us. Movies are expensive, and we have kids so we don't have a lot of time for such things.

Is she someone you wouldn't expect to see such a "naughty" movie? Maybe that's why she's making it a big deal.

Maybe they can't? Sound like you need to get out more if you can sit there being so irritated by something so trivial. Unsubscribe to their posts if it offends that much.

Do they have a new phone?

I think you're being a bit mean. There's plenty of people who'd love to 'get out more' but can't for whatever reason. Who are we to begrudge them sharing details of an outing they have enjoyed?

People who post details or photos of every meal they eat however, should be shot.
