I found one on my sugar (boak) a week or so ago. Cleaned out the cupboard but now there's another!

Mealworm or maggot by the looks if it!

Some sort of spi larvae, what did you keep in the cupboard?

TheWitTank · 22/02/2015 11:40

Looks like a maggot to me.

Betrayedbutsurvived · 22/02/2015 11:40

Apart from sugar

SavoyCabbage · 22/02/2015 11:43

I can't see the picture but I've had maggots things in my cupboard. They were moths I think as I opened a tin and moths flew out like some sort of horror film.

They were a bugger to get rid of. You have to throw everything away.

There's sugar, tea, coffee and things like pepper and spices. I cleared out anything that looked a bit old and gave the cupboard a good clean out last time. Why is it back?

It looks like a pantry moth larva to me. We had them and it took me months to get rid of them all:

Moths? I think everything is going to have to go. I can't even have a brew with the unopened sugar and tea bags. I still expect to find something in there

Sophie I think you're exactly right! Thanks for the link. I am going to throw absolutely everything out of the cupboard and get down to Aldi to replace. At least it will only coat a small fortune there.

Thanks everyone

Def looks and sounds like and spi moth (stored product insects), there'll be eggs in there that you can't see. Def bin everything, vacuum the cupboard throughly, and give it a good scrub, then keep a close eye out for anything returning for the next few weeks. Keep everything in there sealed from now on.

Looks like a Pantry moth to me too.
Take everything out, wipe down everything, especially under shelves and the corners.
I think they like flour and cereal, so get them into plastic sealable boxes.
