last night's match was a One Day International (50 overs per side) we have not had much positive history in this format. But last night was dismal beyond belief can't believe I stayed up to watch it

Too much emphasis on the one day and limited overs games. Players just do not have the right mental approach to spending hours at the wicket these days.
The ladies seem to be better Wink

unfortunately Seeline the ladies also lost last night Sad although having watched a number of ladies matches they are very good and the men could learn a number of lessons from them (especially fielding)

We won the series against India last summer.
Just reminisce about the summer of 2005..!

Do you really mean test matches? Or are you talking about the 50 over World Cup which is currently being played?

prh47bridge · 21/02/2015 00:28

According to the ICC rankings we are number 3 for test matches behind South Africa and Australia. We are much worse at the one day game, being 6 for one day internationals (the format used in the World Cup) and 8 for Twenty20.
