To think something should be done about the Sun?

No, not the newspaper. The actual Sun.

It is bloody annoying.

I liked the winter when the fucker didn't show it's face until I was already at work. Now, I'm having to suffer it blinding me all the bloody way to work! Angry

Yes, its great that the mornings are brighter, blah blah blah but I couldn't even see if there was a car on the roundabout when I approached it this morning.

The car company people need to make special glass so we don't have to continue to suffer this shit.

I know we cant survive without the Sun and its essential and all that but it is bloody annoying and something should be done.

TheFairyCaravan · 19/02/2015 21:40

I like the sun, it cheers me up and motivates me. It's been pissing down all day here and it makes me feel a bit meh about everything. I cba to do anything than sit on my arse!

We could write to Mr Cameron and ask if England could have a roof, please?

He's generally open to batshit crazy suggestions.

CrazyOldBagLady · 19/02/2015 21:46

Boooooo!!!! Hissssss!!!! That's all.

TastelesslyDone · 19/02/2015 21:47

Are you Mr Burns from The Simpsons?

He tried to block out the sun.

Koalafications · 19/02/2015 22:02

No, not Mr Burns but maybe a kindred spirit.

Surely I'm not the only one that gets pissed off with being blinded every morning and evening?!

The sun is fine, it's the clouds that are the problem. They get in the way.

Koalafications · 19/02/2015 22:11

The clouds are brilliant. They block the bloody thing!

I miss winter and rain Sad

I wear sunglasses at all times. Big, dark ones. If I can see in the shop when I buy them, they are too light. On the plus side, less eye wrinkles because of all that blocked UV.

Tinofroses · 19/02/2015 22:14

I hate it shining in my bedroom and sitting room because all I can see is dust . Other than that I like the bright days.

Noodledoodledoo · 20/02/2015 09:37

Move to east of where you work! Then it will be behind you morning and evening! Living to the West = sun blindness

Koalafications · 20/02/2015 17:36

I've just bloody moved, I can't believe I'm going to have to move house because of the Sun. Sad

I'm just glad we have a North facing garden and I don't have to spend my afternoons at home getting blinded, too!

I have good news to report to all sun and daylight lovers. I had a good experience this week as I had to leave half an hour early from work at 5pm. When I got in my car there was full daylight, which was quite a novelty since I've been getting up in the dark and driving home in the dark for what seems like eternity.

Anyway, I was able to leave work this week in daylight and by the time I made it home it was just about total darkness. The journey took me approximately 50 mins.

Currently sunset is occurring at 2 mins later every day. Right now anyone who leaves work at 5:30 should be catching the last few mins of dusk.

In only 2 weeks dusk will be arriving at around 5:45, so if you get home around this time you will be able to make your journey will some natural light. If you have a longer commute like I do then it will take 3 weeks longer for the sun to set at 6pm, and 5 weeks for it to set at 6:30. By this week, the clocks will go forward the same week and then we gain one more hour of sunshine!!!! \o/

5 and a bit weeks and 7pm sunsets are ours!!! Spring is coming people!!!! Sun haters it's time for you to retreat into your crypts!!!

The bad news is that we have severe weather warnings again this week, so those living in northern quarters may have another miserable commute before winter is dead and buried :(

MilfordCubicle · 20/02/2015 23:25

I think it would be nice if it came in different colours or had interesting shapes on it. Just to liven things up a bit. It's been yellow for such a long time now.

mrsfuzzy · 20/02/2015 23:31

the really bad news is that the sun is still printing complete moronic crap, and as for the other sun, well that rocks ! i too have to wear sun glasses all year round because my eyes are photo sensitive to light but, let's be honest the sun does cheer most people up.

mrsfuzzy · 20/02/2015 23:33

tino, full agreement about showing up the dust, bloody unreasonable on that score !
