to go see a GP

Gross medical details in this: DS is 12wo and when he was born I'd had a cold for a week. I haven't shaken off a hacking phlegmy cough since then. I'm sure he thinks his mother is a barking dog! Last month the mucous I coughed up tasted a bit like chlorine.

DD came home from playgroup with a cold a week ago. She's had high temps for three days now. Yesterday my temp went up, my cough is much worse and my body aches (although I can't taste chlorine anymore, just yucky phlegm).

DH not worried about DD, but wants me to go to a GP. I don't want to be told off for wasting GP time. WIBU to go to a GP? If not, anyone got any suggestions for how to shake a cough? It's keeping me awake at night, gives me a headache, and I just want my body back!

Phone the GP now. And make an appointment for your DD too.

Go to the GP

The advice which is everywhere says to go to the gp if you have had a cough for over three weeks so you are not waisting the gps time even a little bit.

I hope you feel better soon.
