Sorry but I'm fed up of seeing TMI in umpteen different threads. If your thread is about being off sick then mentioning D&V is not TMI, if your thread is about you being married to your cousin then it's not TMI that you married your cousin.

Those of us looking for a juicy bit of TMI are being cruelly misled and those doing it are as bad as those who post about their enormous spots and neglect to leave a picture.

Honestly, I think it's become the online equivalent of saying 'ahem' before you advert to something you consider slightly Not Nice. You know, the way Great Auntie Maureen would lean over to your mother and whisper the word 'monthlies' or 'cancer'. A lower-middle-class twitch in case someone looks down on you for having spots/ear wax/periods/whatever.

There are some threads which just leave me open-mouthed at the OP's lack of self-awareness!
