to email my managers with questions?

I have been offered a temporary promotion; it is envisaged to last six to nine months. I have been asked to give my decision within the next few days.

I have a few concerns and reservations, AIBU to email the recruiting managers with the questions I have, before I give my decision? There is a lot of possible stress and risk, and I really need to know if I can balance the risk and reward.

DH thinks it's a conversation that needs to be done face to face, but I would quite like the answers in writing and I find emailing allows me to ask the questions coherently.

I do think face to face is better. However, why don't you email the questions you want to ask then ask to discuss them. When you have had the conversation email back saying thank you for meeting and Kay put what was agreed along with your acceptance (or not).

Have a face to face meeting and then email confirming what was said.
