Repaired?
2 weeks ago a hire car hit my parked car. I got in touch with my car insurance company who wanted to pass the claim onto a management company.
If I had used this company my car would have been repaired by now.
I didn't want to use this company as I didn't agree with the use if a management company so I agreed for the other party to handle everything.
So I'm doing all the chasing making all the calls to try and sort it and I'm still no closer to it being repaired wtf?
I'm trying to be fair and do the right thing but it's getting a little annoying.
Any suggestions?

Madness. You pay for the use of a management company in your premiums. They exist so you don't have to do the work yourself...

.. you are not trying to be fair. You are trying to have things all ways to suit you, though why having the other party take it on was a good idea, I don't know!

Basically, in insurance terms, you have reaped what you have sown. Next time, don't make a moral judgement, just say "Thank you"

Maybe this is a subtle plug for management companies ?

I didn't want to use the management company as I had to take out a credit agreement for the hire car. The cost for the hire car was £185 a day. I do not agree with this cost or in management companies making money from this credit agreement.

Read all of that post and it makes sense, honest!... you wanted the insurance done your way... no nasty men making money off an accident.

Well, you have your wish... and it hasn't turned out to be all that convenient!

And they have to have some record of a hire car being used... you use the car, they claim the cost back off the other side's insurance. No credit agreement means you had no provable outlay....

I don't understand. If you were legally parked and someone hit you then it's clearly their fault. Someone slammed into the back of me 6 weeks ago while I was in a queue of traffic waiting to turn right. It was totally their fault and my insurance company just handled the while thing. My car was collected from outside my house to be taken to the repair shop and a (much posher) courtesy car delivered the same day. It has taken 6 weeks for them to fix it but its been no hassle at all for me so I'm not bothered. In fact it's going to be tough handing back the really posh courtesy car. I don't understand why you need to sort anything out?

What did your policy documents say about claims handling when you took out the policy ? Really that's the time to have objections to the way claims are handled, and choose a company that suits your outlook.
