To think that microwave food cooking instructions should match microwaves?

I don't understand why every microwave I have ever seen is 700w, 800w, 900w etc but every microwave meal has instructions for 750w, 850w etc.

I am sure there are exceptions but I have yet to see them. I really would like to know if there is an explanation for it.

You can change the power settings on microwave I'm sure.

my last one was a 850W but now have a 900W one (you can change the power levels though)

Isn't it the other way around? All the instructions I see are for round numbers (700W and 800W.) My microwave is 750W.

Mine is 600W - no modern day microwaveable food can believe it Grin

Mine is 700w and all the food mostly has 750w and 850w.
