Because whenever we catch up she spends the whole time talking at me and then when she runs out of things to say says she needs to go and leaves me standing?

YANBU, but I find sometimes friends like this are useful, sometimes I'm sick of listening to myself moan, and I know I wont get a word in with a certain friend and its quite a rest seeing her cos all she does is talk about herself and I dont need to think about myself

I have a friend like that and she got pissed off because a couple of times she didn't realise major things that were going in my life and accused me if not telling her. When I said it seemed like she had enough going on in her life and I didn't get the chance to tell her as she wanted to talk about herself all the time, she changed her ways.
Maybe give your friend a chance to realise what she's doing?
