It was the rat in the piano thread that inspired me Grin

I thought it might be nice to have a safe place to unload all those first world problems that we don't feel we can moan about in real life without inducing eye-rolling responses.

Any takers?

None of these are as bad as the time that I couldn't get the smell of truffle out of the second fridge. It tainted the smoked chicken.

FightOrFlight · 24/01/2015 23:42

Waitrose had run out of lychees, I had to buy mango instead.

Strokethefurrywall · 24/01/2015 23:45

My swimming pool is too cold even though it's 85oF here.

Cocolepew · 24/01/2015 23:52

I'm listening to music from my phone as I mn and Apples earphones are making my ears hurt.

Cocolepew · 24/01/2015 23:53

Oh and I'm lying on my recliner and keep spilling beer down myself because I can't be bothered to sit up a bit.
I need a straw.

Bean89 · 24/01/2015 23:55

My OH isn't talking to me because I ate all the brioche.

HootyMcTooty · 25/01/2015 00:00

I dislike my daughter's new shoes, but Clarks only had two styles in her size because of her wide feet. I had to pick the least offensive style.

mupperoon · 25/01/2015 00:07

The Trivial Pursuit chocs I was given for Xmas stated on the box that they were "finest Belgian chocolate" but turned out to be waxy, grainy shite and we could only choke a couple down. And the questions on them were too easy.

DH dropped the biscuit barrel on top of my newly purchased teapot and broke the lid. Antique teapot (found it in charity shop) and worth about ten times more than the £2.50 I paid for it.

It lasted a hundred years unscathed... and it doesn't even make it to the end of one week in our house!

taxi4ballet · 25/01/2015 00:25

DD has decided that she has far too many bottles of nail varnish.

I need a wee but don't want to get out of bed because its warm in here.

Maybe I can pee here and the electric blanket will dry it out Grin

wickedlazy · 25/01/2015 00:35

I'm in bed, and would love to stretch my legs out but I don't want to disturb my cat who is curled up in a little ball beside me. And I have no coke (cola not blow) left and dreading having to walk to the corner shop up the street in the morning to get more.

someonestolemynick · 25/01/2015 00:35

Our cats HATE Rachel's Organic Butter. They will only accept French butter...

QOD · 25/01/2015 00:39

My cleaner cleaned my laminate floors too well and I keep skidding

UmmAbdillah · 25/01/2015 00:41

I'm really tired but can't get off mumsnet

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 25/01/2015 00:52

My eyes are like pickled onions, I am exhausted! Yet here I am on mn because I have nothing to do tomorrow and I refuse to go to bed early on a Saturday night!

payuktaxrichardbranson · 25/01/2015 01:06

I've just been to a lovely friends house for a girls dinner and I ordered my taxi too early and they are still there having a nice time.

Liger123 · 25/01/2015 01:18

£50 notes don't fit properly in my new Ralph Lauren purse... DH brought home "foie gras de canard" instead of the proper stuff... My off-licence doesn't sell fever tree tonic- had to make do with scwepps for my G&T

Liger123 · 25/01/2015 01:20

*schweppes- damn iphone autocorrect!

stqueen · 25/01/2015 01:52

I'm losing sleep over which shade of Farrow & Ball to paint the front door, pigeon or pelt.

Life is hard.

OriginalGreenGiant · 25/01/2015 02:07

I'm so tired because it's taken me ages to blow up 50 balloons and decorate the downstairs of our house ready for ds1's birthday tomorrow.

and have you every tried to wrap a bloody bike? Awful

MarcMaronF · 25/01/2015 04:30

I booked holiday on Thursday for the end of September. I wish I hadn't tried to be so organised because now I have to wait so long for it.

Travelledtheworld · 25/01/2015 05:58

Kids don't want to go on another sailing holiday because it was " too salty".

EbonyIck · 25/01/2015 06:13

I'm having a hard time getting over jetlag and have to have little naps in the day before collecting the DC.

New leather chair has a scuff on the back already, it's aniline leather so I was expecting it to get scuffed and scraped but thought it would happen 'organically' instead of because DS was messing around.

One of our laptops has a cracked screen.

Ifyourawizardwhydouwearglasses · 25/01/2015 06:37

Ooh I'd go for Pelt! I had the same dilemma over our interior woodwork, and 20 different shades of neutral Hmm In the end we I went for James White. Few sleepless nights first though.
