To Have Label Rage

I have been tipped over the edge this week by a small hat for my 3 month old DS. There were four long white labels in it telling me what it was made from, how to wash it and where it was made - the lot.

I have a permanent sore dry patch on both my right hand side and the back of my neck. I can't just 'cut them out' as I find this makes them even sharper.

I've taken to wearing knickers up to my armpits and vest tops inside out or the ones with no labels down to my knickers (TMI).

Surely there is a better way of universally saying 'cotton - wash at 40'.

Am I BU to be getting overly raged about this?

Don't get me started on those bloody plastic tags things you have to ping off (lots of new baby clothes).

And bloody plastic tags. Even if I snip them over the bin a section finds its way out.

YANBU. And these multiple labels are indeed like a small book! Grin
I unpick with sewing scissors the stitches holding them in place. If these stitches are the actual seam, I resew the seam (only about an inch or so of sewing) and do blanket stitch over the edge of the material. It takes about 5 mins in all.
If not, the bloody things get scritchier and scratchier the more often the garment is washed. I can't bear that feeling, as if you've got a spider in your clothes!
I also hate those plastic T-shaped ties that attach a label to the cloth. You cut one end and the other falls inside the lining. Or on the floor where it becomes invisible.

Oh, yes, YANBU, it is exactly like having a book in there!

I have made so many holes in my clothes cutting the stupid things out! And I always wear long, inside out vests Grin.

I always try and buy stuff where it is printed on rather than a thick wodge of labels, but they are hard to find.

WHY do they have to be sewn in??? If they were on a tag like the price label you could just cut them off and throw them out.
