School keeping information up-to-date

My son's school have done their yearly 'check your contact information is up-to-date' letters, along with the information you gave last year. Perfect, all the contact details I gave last year are the same, so a quick signature and bung it back in his bag, I thought. While quickly looking at it I noticed that the contact details I gave last year for an emergency contact (My Mum) hadn't been updated from the previous year and the details for my Dad also hadn't been updated to include the number for his secretary. Also the part about National Identity (which I was unhappy with last year as they automatically put Scottish, I identify as British. Bloody cheek!) also hadn't been updated.

AIBU to think that this is totally lax on the schools part? One of the other mums has said that her updates from last year weren't on the form either.

It's possible that the school office didn't get the update...lost between child and school, teacher and admin staff. Make any changes in coloured pen and contact the school by phone or in person to highlight this.
