AIBU to be pissed off with Birds Eye?

I emailed them to complain about some Birds Eye Fish Fingers Omega 3 that I gave to my three year old son. I cooked them as per the instructions and served them up on his plate. As he is only three, I cut them up into small pieces for him and was horrified to find a large piece of plastic completely encased in the fish finger. If I had given them to him to cut up and eat himself (as he sometimes does) he would have surely choked on it. It was completely invisible from the outside as it was right inside the fish. Clearly there is a problem somewhere along the line with the quality control.
I sent the email on the 9th of January and then chased it up on the 14th. I called them today to find out WTAF is going on, and was patronised by their customer services department about checking my inbox / junk mail / spelling etc etc. Apparently it's because I included the photos that they requested and they were over 4GB. AIBU to be annoyed that they didn't actually stipulate this limit on their website, or send an email saying that the email hadn't got through (auto-generated failure message)? It was only 3 photos of fish fingers and packaging, not my frickin holiday snaps. Angry

Think you need to check the file sizes, a 4GB file/files wouldnt send over email,

Pastamancer · 22/01/2015 11:38

4GB is rather large, you need to reduce them down a bit. A few MB per picture would still give you the quality needed.

Chavaloy · 22/01/2015 11:41

I suggest you put all the pictures on here and then e-mail them the link to this page - I'm sure that will help them to sort it out quickly. I assume you took a picture of the plastic actually in the fish finger. Otherwise Facebook?

Future reference - M&S Chunky Fish Fingers are far nicer and contain loads of fish!

funkybuddah · 22/01/2015 11:45

I dont even know how you would make a normal camera/phone image be more than 4g, a 2hr film is only 2 gb!
I smell bullshit from Birds Eye.
4mb maybe not 4gb

SuzySheepSmellsNice · 22/01/2015 12:37

Oops I may have meant MB...

Still, my point was Birds Eye have gone way down in my estimation and I'm not impressed with their customer services either

At my work if an email attachment is too big it doesn't get through at all so they won't have your email to respond to. Sending the pics individually should help. Doesn't excuse the big ass bit of plastic right enough, but they can't respond to an email they haven't got.
