Digital Potty Seat

It's a potty with a stand for an ipad integrated in it.

Who the bugger wants one of these!?

Me too!

MrsTawdry · 19/01/2015 20:15

Why!? Why would you sit a child on a potty for that long!? I mean...if it needs entertainment while it waits to poo or wee then it doesn't need to go!

Bumpandkind · 19/01/2015 20:21

What the fuck! Is that real (for that matter is the selfie stick real)?
Potty training is just around the corner and the potty will be a grotty old hand-me-down with an episode of peppa on the iPad if all else fails.

MrsTawdry · 19/01/2015 20:22

Bump it IS real yes! Somewhat bizarrely my ten year old dd just told me about them! I don't know how she knows about them though! Confused

When I see this type of product I just remember the space people from Wall-e.

Stratter5 · 19/01/2015 22:04

curiousgeorgie · 19/01/2015 22:07

Why does nobody do an adult version of this? :(

TeaAfficionado · 19/01/2015 22:13

MrsTawdry they mentioned them on Room 101 on Friday I think, if your daughter saw that...

MrsTawdry · 19/01/2015 22:16

No she doesn't really watch a lot of terrestrial telly...she's a true 2015 kid!

x2boys · 19/01/2015 23:49

I want it,! My son is autistic so toilet training him is not something thats going to be quick he is four and a half and I have been trying on and off for a couple of years .

MrsTawdry · 20/01/2015 09:19

Well I can certainly see how that would be useful x2boys! My friend's son is autistic and thinking about it, I bet she'd have loved one! He took till he was 6 in reality and then he was so organised about toileting....he took it on as one of his strong routines and began to be very militaristic about it all. But one of these would have helped him as he adores the ipad!

DS1 parked himself on his (normal) potty and played with his toy smartphone once. I think he's watched DH's approach to toiletting too often Hmm

EarSlaps · 20/01/2015 13:10

Mmm, might persuade DS2 to use the potty- he's got the bladder control just doesn't like the potty (or toilet) so it's nappies for a bit longer.

Using the iPad was the only way I could keep him still for a haircut.

pinkreindeer · 20/01/2015 13:23

I have it. (And for those wondering, of course I'm American, we are the champs of useless consumer products.) I put it on the Amazon wish list to show the DH later and my cousin saw it and ordered it for me. And you know what, I regret receiving it NOT AT BLOODY ALL.
The little almost 3 yr old booger ahem DS has had enough bladder AND bowel control for over six months and is so stubborn he refuses to actively participate in his own potty training. He scoffs at stickers as a reward system. You know what gets him on the little loo? Peppa on the iPad.
I can't quite fault him either, as has been mentioned already and is true in our household too, that when DH takes that approach to the potty, why should DS do any different?!

skyninja · 20/01/2015 13:35

(rubs eyes in disbelief)
