To think that this is the way to go

It was on the news that a child who was a no show at a party venue was sent an invoice for the money that the party giver wasted o his place. It was being held at a dry ski slope.

Of course, the invoice should have gone to the parents of the invited boy but, if this were to happen every time there was a no show, it would stop people from not turning up without notifying the party giver.

The father of the boy said that he could not contact the party giver to say that he'd been 'double-booked' but the party giver said that all contact details were on the invitation. Bring on invoices and it might stamp out no shows and indifference towards people's wasted expenditure.

And while I'm talking about this, what about extra costs for those turning up who have not been invited - eg siblings?
