To ask how to use Epsom salts...

On a potential boil, didnt want to start a sporn thread and I doubt my dp is a sporner so won't participate though I'm quite looking forward to it myself.
Its near his crotch but inside leg so rubs quite painfully it is quite red and shiny no puss as yet.
Can someone tell how to use Epsom salts on it?

Get some magnesium sulphate paste instead.

HappyAgainOneDay · 16/01/2015 18:30

Epsom salts is something you dissolve in water and drink ....

HappenstanceMarmite · 16/01/2015 18:33

What is 'sporn'?

DeliciousMonster · 16/01/2015 18:34

No, that is Andrew's salts!

LuluJakey1 · 16/01/2015 18:35

Magnesium sulphate paste is epsom salts with TCP somehow added. You can buy it in Boots and it is fab.

MyAcheybreakyBones · 16/01/2015 18:38

Argh christ I bought the salt form.
I went into the chemist to buy it too.
Aw well il use that for aches and pains instead.

I used couple of handfuls in my bath. It would probably help your DH to have an Epsom salts bath until you can get the sulphate paste.

MyAcheybreakyBones · 16/01/2015 18:45

Thanks Xici

I would agree with putting it in a bath and will help to draw the boil to a head. I've known it used on horses for abscesses. I'd get the magnesium sulphate and put that on.

PeppermintInfusion · 16/01/2015 18:55

I think you can make the paste from the salts yourself as I googled it previously, but yes a bath in them is good for boils etc too (bathing is them
also works wonders if you are bloated)

MyAcheybreakyBones · 16/01/2015 18:56

Thanks alot will go to chemist again tomorrow and in the meantime salt bath it is.

You do drink epsom salts. They come in different grades. Some for bathing and some for drinking. Great for constipation (when drunk).

TOADfan · 16/01/2015 20:19

Thanks for this thread. Being very overweight I'm always suffering with boils and blood blisters between my legs and some days it's total agony. TMI

I shall be going to get mag sulphate now see if it helps any.

ddubsgirl77 · 16/01/2015 20:48

Yes you can drink epsom salts! But you also put in a bath but dont spend to long in bath.

peachgirl · 16/01/2015 20:53

Sorry OP I've no idea, but HappenstanceMarmite "sporn" is slang for spot porn, so it's for people who like watching spot/boil/etc squeezing videos (like me!). Grin

HappenstanceMarmite · 16/01/2015 22:38

Thanks peachgirl. So sporn...That would be me then Wine
