To think DS should stop doing drama club......

......he has either a 15 minute car journey or a 6 minute train ride to school. If it fits in with something I'm doing, I give him a lift, which he loves. I said I would today, then my plans changed.

Cue sad, reproachful, more in sorrow than in anger routine. I said "on come on, DS, I'm not murdering puppies" to which he responded "Yes you are- the puppies are my hopes and dreams" Grin

I think he is in the running for a BAFTA!

Lol, did does drama club too and the 'well, it's fine if you ruin my life, I won't complain' looks about minor stuff are hilarious. Last one was after Christmas when I said she'd have to take ALL her Christmas presents to her bedroom, up a whole small flight of stairs, by herself!

MrsVetinari · 09/01/2015 09:10

did = dd!

Hakluyt · 09/01/2015 09:10

No, 6 minutes train, 15 minutes car.

I was just being amused about over dramatic teens. Thought it might give someone else a smile........

How could you joke about murdering puppies?
Wink

I think it's too late. My 7yoDD can already do the full on drama (albeit not quite so eloquent) without any coaching - you may as well embrace it and enjoy it Grin

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 09/01/2015 09:20

Grin. Tell him it will give him more time for his latte and cinnamon swirl!

Finola1step · 09/01/2015 09:22

I for one rather like his response. The boy's got some style. Smile

Hakluyt · 09/01/2015 09:31

Grin @Chipping

Just discovered he'll have to get the train home too- the friend he often gets a lift with isn't at school today.
