I fucking will.

Terrible, terrible shit going on in Paris.

#JeSuisCharlie if it's on Twitter.

VanitasVanitatum · 07/01/2015 14:10

Why is OP BU? I'm guessing this is a supportive picture to show solidarity with the victims.

amarone · 07/01/2015 14:10

YANBU Sad

MrsTawdry · 07/01/2015 14:11

What does Je Sui mean?

MrsTawdry · 07/01/2015 14:11

Suis

MrsTawdry · 07/01/2015 14:11

Oh I see. "I am".

TheNumberfaker · 07/01/2015 14:12

Je suis is French for 'I am'.

Thumbwitch · 07/01/2015 14:16

You should have posted that link in the OP then - can't expect everyone to know what it's about!

What an awful thing to happen - these terrorist killings are dreadful, so wrong. RIP all the people killed in this latest attack. :(

linalool · 07/01/2015 14:24

yes OP should have said what it was about

ToyStory3 · 07/01/2015 14:28

Maybe she assumed everyone was up to date with current affairs? Why didn't you ask what the photo was for if you didn't know?

FaFoutis · 07/01/2015 14:31

YANBU

magpieginglebells · 07/01/2015 14:33

Why on earth would this be unreasonable?

Surely people are aware of the huge news story going on at the moment?

Thumbwitch · 07/01/2015 14:34

I did.

Thumbwitch · 07/01/2015 14:34

I did.

Thumbwitch · 07/01/2015 14:36

That was to Toystory.

And no, magpie, sometimes these things don't permeate everyone's daily lives. I'm sure there was a mention of it on tonight's news, I doubt Australia would have ignored it completely especially given the café tragedy before Christmas, but I didn't see it.

ToyStory3 · 07/01/2015 14:40

That part of my comment was to linalool

HearCerseiRoar · 07/01/2015 14:48

YANBU. I am proud to stand with Charlie Hebdo, Paris, and all those who stand up for freedom. Je suis Charlie.

DreamingofSummer · 07/01/2015 14:48

I assumed that everyone would be familiar with this major story and wish to express their horror and sympathy

OP posts:
Nomama · 07/01/2015 14:54

I don't do Twitter, but have used the fb link from the sky link

news.sky.com/story/1403783/je-suis-charlie-online-solidarity-after-attack

fedupbutfine · 07/01/2015 15:45

I assumed that everyone would be familiar with this major story and wish to express their horror and sympathy

at 2 in the afternoon when by far the majority of people are at work and don't have automatic access to the news? I've just seen it because I check the headlines at the end of my day but otherwise wouldn't have seen it till 10pm. I don't think that's unusual.

silveroldie2 · 07/01/2015 15:47

Of course it's dreadful but I don't understand the relevance of the OP's photograph or what possible good it will do to pass it on. What does that achieve? Can anyone explain?

Medoc · 07/01/2015 15:51

Precisely silver.
It's easy to show solidarity behind a screen, not so if one lives or works in the 11ieme.
