in the afternoon, downstairs, while my DH & DC play video games upstairs?

I'm fed up & it's New Years Day.

I wish my DH and DS's were upstairs while I drunk champagne! They have just returned from the park in a whirlwind, I have promptly sent my DH back to to get me bubbles to drink while they take over the tv watching football!

SauvignonBlanche · 01/01/2015 15:56

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me!

YesAnastasia · 01/01/2015 15:57

Ah, that's the answer I wanted...

Trooperslane · 01/01/2015 16:04

I'm on the red and watching Mary Poppins.

Dh is fancying around on his computer and DD is wrecking the place and saying UH-oh every 5 seconds Wink

Happy few year. ????????

Iflyaway · 01/01/2015 16:16

Happy new year!

I have no qualms about drinking champagne alone, nor in the afternoon. Grin

Especially when it's the Masserati of champagnes - Krug - and costs a fortune!
(still have to do that though, just seems an outrage to spend that much on a tipple).

YesAnastasia · 01/01/2015 16:27

Happy new year accomplices! Mine was free from Ocado & it's very nice.

So are the dry roasted peanuts that only every appear in my house at Christmas, I haven't bought them...

Wink

I always drink champagne alone. The rest of the family are teetotal.

YesAnastasia · 01/01/2015 16:58

Oh, how sad for you Tobyjugg. Mine are just judgemental Hmm

Not champagne but prosecco. DH has got cold man flu so has been only surfacing for air occasionally. It's been like this for three days but then his think his workaholic nature has taken over and general exhaustion has settled in. He's not like this usually so when it does hit, I take the DC's out to run out the energy, and fed and water him in the evening.

Redglitter · 01/01/2015 17:08

I'm at work. Have a glass for me Wine

Glitterkitten24 · 01/01/2015 17:08

Go for it!
We opened champagne last night, but had eaten too late so ended up only having one glass and going to bed.
DH is working tonight, and my plan is to get into jammies and drink champagne alone! Grin
