Dear Mn's
We are about to pick up our lovely little border collie pup. She's a little girl and is black and white..

Please help me decide out of these names

Teddy
Maddie
Pandora (Panda/Pandy)
Mia (Mimi)
Belle/Bella
Willow

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year.

I like willow.

MimiSunshine · 31/12/2014 17:56

When naming a pet, consider that it will be called out across a vets waiting room. That reason alone stopped me once using Madonna (i thought it would be funny).

Our of your choices I'd go with Willow, nice respectable name and won't raise an eyebrow like Pandora would

5Foot5 · 31/12/2014 17:56

I vote for Maddie.

Teddy sounds like a male name.
Pandora and Mia don't sound like dogs to me

Is Maggie a possibility? Some people think that is a suitable name for a bitchGrin

nooka · 31/12/2014 17:57

I like unusual names for dogs, so I think I'd go for Pandora (plus Panda as a nn has a cut B&W connection).

Have fun with your pup!

Coffeethrowtrampbitch · 31/12/2014 17:57

I love Willow!

Our border collie girl is two now, she's called Lily and is black and white too.

She is adorable but lock up anything you don't want chewed for the next few months, our girl was like a shredder when we first got her, and chewed five electric razors and countless school shoes! Despite this we all love her to bits.

Good luck and Happy New Year to you and your new family member!

You're quite right. We used to have a cat called Fluffybum

DorothyBastard · 31/12/2014 18:03

Pandora. Everyone's pet is called Willow these days, I know two dogs and a cat.

catgirl1976 · 31/12/2014 18:03

Willow

Elllimam · 31/12/2014 18:05

I like Pandora. I used to have a hamster called mr hamster. It didn't pass the waiting room test :/

EddieFlorence · 31/12/2014 18:10

Thanks for all the replies so far! Great advice re shouting across the vets room etc!

Maggie is also good so thanks 5foot5..will add that to list!

Aww. She looks like a Pandy.

iggymama · 31/12/2014 18:16

I quite like Bella, but she really looks like a Sally to me. She is lovely and very snugglable.

nooka · 31/12/2014 18:17

She looks very snuggly (and quite Panda bearish!)

bouncingbelle · 31/12/2014 18:18

Panda!!

BoreOfWhabylon · 31/12/2014 18:20

That (gorgeous) puppy is definitely Panda!

TrinityForce · 31/12/2014 18:23

Charge your phone Grin

Panda suits so well

rembrandtsrockchick · 31/12/2014 18:28

Panda!

DejaVuAllOverAgain · 31/12/2014 18:35

Dejadog suggests very strongly that you call her Panda Wink

steff13 · 31/12/2014 18:37

She looks like a panda, I'd go with that.

TheCunnyFunt · 31/12/2014 18:38

Panda, without a doubt!

Bowlersarm · 31/12/2014 18:38

Peggy.

Or Bella from your list.

EddieFlorence · 31/12/2014 18:40

Thanks again!

I think Panda it is!

Trinity I've just put it on charge Grinlol!

Pandora, nn Panda. As long as it goes with your surname, for shouting out at the vet purposes!

EddieFlorence · 01/01/2015 09:54

Thank you!

DH still wants Maddie

DC are adamant on Teddy (Teddy Rose)

And I love Pandy/panda

Anyway happy new year !
