To scream? And ask for help??

I have a 5 month old who has always been the perfect baby. Until now.
About a week ago she started screaming every time I put her down. When you go back, she's immediately all smiles. I really don't think there's anything wrong.

But I cannot. Cope. With. This.

I put her down and get 2 steps away before the scream starts. I get NOTHING done. My toddler is being neglected.

Why is she doing it? How can I stop it? Why why why why why??

I'm only managing to write this as she's now feeding. I haven't eaten today and there are nappies everywhere.

I've never experienced this before and it's bloody hard.

And I know it's just a crying baby and some people don't have any legs etc etc and I'm sorry for complaining but the pitch and the noise is just awful and I think I'm going to start hallucinating soon.

You have my deepest sympathies, my 4th baby was exactly the same, my life was shit bk then. Nothing got done, I couldn't eat till about 9pm some nights as that was when she would actually sleep in her Moses basket, It was dreadful, and lasted till about 3mths old. She is now a happy, delightful 2yr old and I'm expecting again! I'm praying he'll not be a Velcro Baby. Sorry no actual help Hun

Mine went through several stages of this, I can't quite remember what worked because I've tried to mentally block out those horrific periods but I do remember her baby gym helped me get things done in 2-3 minute slots. Apparently babies go through various phases of separation anxiety as well.

Get yourself an ergo sling, good for baby and very comfortable and easy to use (just clips together) i am tiny but so comfy carried ds until he was 18 months.
