My lovely ds has a cold/cough which he's passed onto me. He is clingy. Apart from climbing back inside my c-section womb it's not close enough for him he then sits and wriggles and pushes himself into me all. Day.

I need a wee he followed wanted to sit on my lap, go between me and the toilet, on my shoulders everywhere I can't even wipe myself!! So I pretended to through something out the door and he went after it. Ive closed and locked said door. He's now banging on it yelling for me to hug him and to come backConfused

I just want 5 minutes to breathe on my own is that wrong? I just want to pee and sort myself out without having to work around a tall two year old I. A bathroom you can't swing a hamster in!

I'm hoping he'll nap but I know he won't Sad

I've got this all to come. Sigh. 14 month old DS has been poorly and clingy for 2 weeks now. DH finally had a few days off, they've barely seen each other since long days of work and nursery started in Sept. He's been glued to his daddy.

The clingyness came as a surprise. I crave aloneness.

YANBU at all

Anyone who talks about doing things "in the privacy of your own home" has clearly never had little kids.

And yes, my baby also sleeps on my face when he needs comfort

Thank you for all the well wishes

ds is awake! He followed me around crying whilst I was on the phone he's refusing to talk though just keeps standing around nodding and crying if he's not on my lap which he is now! To top it off the heating isn't working Hmm so I'm freezing!

Ahhhh I loved it when mine were ill and cuddly because they're usually tearing about causing trouble (they're 5&3 so plenty more to come I'm sure).

If I needed a break, I stuck the TV on no shame

It's been a long day!

He's standing at his door shouting "HUGGLE" he's knackered but won't sleep :( I hate it when he's ill, especially when I'm ill as well and he refuses to talk instead of just grunting :(. Oh well tomorrow's a new day i guess!

On the plus side they've fixed the heating which is a good thing seeing as DS is refusing to keep his clothes on! However the "no wonder he's ill" comment from the boiler repair man wasn't very helpful! Hmm
