DS broke your glasses

AIBU to be livid with DH for this?

For the second time in recent months I am told by my DH that 'DS has broken your glasses'...

Effectively, DS who is only just one, has got hold of my specs (the last pair were expensive sunnies) and snapped the arm off.

DH was supposed to be giving him the tea I just cooked, my glasses were in the sitting room on a shelf so god knows how he got hold of them (DH obvs not supervising). I am upstairs drying my hair!

Gaaaarrrrggghhh.

DS is one.
Whoever is looking after him is responsible for him.
DH should have said "I am really sorry but I allowed DS to break your glasses"

First question I'd be asking is husband dear, exactly how did our son climb up to a shelf, get hold of my glasses and break them all without you noticing?

How high is this shelf? I think you should ensure that you keep your glasses either on your face or on top of a cupboard in the glasses case in future, since it seems your son thinks they are a fun toy. Kids, eh?

But yes, your husband was right there. This happened on his watch.

Find something of worth/necessity to your DH. Give it to DS.

DS is older and often grabs them off my face and throws them / scrunchies them in his hands. He is quite capable of breaking them. However if he ever gets hold of them when I am not wearing them then its my fault for leaving them where he can get them.

I wouldn't blame OH for me leaving them within DS's grasp and know it only takes a moment to cause a lot of damage to a pair of glasses.

Oh right. They were in a shelf? Jesus. Yep hubby at fault completely.
