slightly urgent hair up-do help!!!

My hair is waist length, very straight and thick.

I normally do the aging hippy look and wear it in a plait or if it's damp twist into a bun.

Tonight I am off to a party and have no idea what to do with it.

Suggestions please. Must be simple and easy as I'm not good at hair (obv).

I was going to get a stretchy headband and do that twisty thing. I'll need to buy a bloody headband first though.

Have a look on pinterest....I'm sure you'll find loads.

could you not wear it loose if you usually wear it up, and put in a lovely hairband or something?

My hair is the same as yours.....half up / half down? Messy side plait? I tend to wear mine in a messy bun a lot of the time so when I go out, I wear it loose x

Braided crown. It always looks lovely and there's a ton of tutorials on youtube, it only takes ten minutes.

Accessorize with a jewelled clip and you're good to go.

Sleek ponytail with a section wrapped around the hairband and pinned into place

NeedaDiscoNap · 20/12/2014 16:51

This is really easy (honest) but looks incredible: pull your hair into a high ponytail, secure with a bobble, and then plait it and secure the end with another bobble. Then pin the plait in an S shape towards the front of your head and then coil it back on itself. Looks great and v easy! Will try to find a picture...

A bun donut at the nape. Put your hair into a ponytail at the nape of yor neck, put a hair donut (small one) at the end of your hair and roll. Takes two minutes and you could put in a couple of sparkly clips too.
